Oh the Fun

So while gone for Christmas, I did a good deed and cleaned out Eric's mom's spare room. It has been collecting items... anything and everything since her daughter now 28, left for college. You can only imagine the things I found in there. Filled to the brim with decorations, old clothes, dolls, books, animals, pictures, old radios and maps and all sorts of things. I can't even explain. It took an entire day to sort. In the end I was greatly rewarded. I cleaned out 12 large black trash bags of clothes for her to donate and then I came upon some very old radios, which I was told I could have!!!!! SCORE!!! I will have to pick up on another trip because our cars were beyond full. I also came upon an old atlas, that I'm over the moon for as well as some old Golden books. I couldn't beleive my luck. Some were Eric's sisters, marked clearly with her cute hand writting and some were Eric's.

After talking to his sister she insisted none of hers could be taken, I was soo sad, but then Eric's mom said to go ahead and take those that had Eric name in them. So now, I have quite the little collection between those I got of his as well as the I already had. I get sooo giddy over these and can't even explain why! Here's some pictures of them!

Ohh the fun Storage

So, a few days ago I posted a link to Ranger's blog to show off some fun storage print ables and what not. Hope you had a chance to check it out. If not what are you waiting over.. did I mention the print ables are free!!

So, in light of that and somethings going on around here. I started playing with some storage ideas of my misc. this and that things. I purchased from an antique store a few months ago this very nifty old drawer. And I found it would be absolutely perfect for my odds and ends. The things I know I should put away but always end up in some little tubs I have and then, their such small things that I end up forgetting them. Now I have them all in one place that I will look often to. Here are some pictures. I definitely decided I need many more of these drawers!

I know soo many of you love all of the great Tim Holtz and Ranger products as I do. I ran across their blog post this morning and just had to share. They have FREE, yes free printables to help you get your items in order. I just love some of these. Check them out. They have printables for your stickles and inks and soo much more.

Sooo Much to Come

With things wrapping up and getting back to normal... or what I call normal. I'm ubber excited. I have so much to share with you all. I've been very busy playing with some fun things and doing a bit of tinkering around in my crafty room. I'm looking forward to a post each night this week, showing some fun new things I have created as well as re-organized.

I hope the holidays found everyone feeling well and ready to begin a nice new year. Something so refreshing about a new year. New crafting goals and things to do. Definitely makes me want to get cracking on some new projects and ideas. I have a large goal to finally get my pictures printed. I am guilty of not printing pictures in about.. hmm almost 2 years this spring... I know I know. I think it's partially the reason I have slacked on doing layouts, because all the pictures I have left I'm not in love with and well all I can think about is the pictures I know I've taken that I desperately have stories to tell about!

Can't wait. Will be costly and time consuming as I do them all in order but I'm excited for sure!

Do you have any crafting goals for the year? Share away!

What do you think???

So, I follow easily over 100 blogs. The majority are crafting blogs of some sort or another. I've been curious lately. I more often than not, have a bit of a tutorial with most of my postings. I find it nice to see how things came together. I love the inspiration many blogs offer but I often find seeing how it got to where it did, quite helpful. Maybe I don't want to recreate the entire project but just something they did on one of the pages of a mini-album.

How do you feel about this? I ask because on more blogs than not I notice there's no showing how the project came together. While some of it super fun to look at, often I'm curious. "Well how did she get that on there, or make that look that way." Am I the only one?

I like I said, I love viewing the completed projects but often wish more followed my own format of trying to show it got from here to there. Does this matter to you? Or are you just fine just looking and figuring it out on your own?
