Say Hello To My Little Friend

Okay, so here is my newest Donkey addition to the family. Isn't it the nicest ass you've ever seen? No? Okay well she needs some touching up, but I do love it to pieces.

This donkey has a story behind it. Of people I don't know AT ALL. Enjoy. Please remember this story is completely FICTIONAL! I just needed an entertaining story for you all.

So one Easter Eve a very nice girl and her friends and family went out to play some intoxicated midnight golf in small town Western Kansas. While, they were not prepared for such an adventure being a last minute thought and all they quickly thought on their feet. They gathered solar lights from the home they were staying in and the neighbors yard. 10 or so would do to light the path of a nice swing off the tee box. Then went walking towards the golf coarse, on the way they picked up a striking young man, who brought along his clubs and about 10 white shinny golf balls. They set off for the golf coarse with lights, drinks, a lack of better judgement  and of course  Easter eggs. On the way a tragic things happen and they loose a few lights. It's okay they can replace those two, and they were getting heavy to carry.  It was going to be a marvelous evening.

Once to the coarse a few Easter eggs were given a nice drive down the fairway, landing about at the end of the tee box. Note to all, use hard boiled eggs! They fly so much further than those shinny easy to find but easily broken plastic ones. Everyone takes their turn hitting their ball.... they all ooo and awww and in a drunken state pretend we know just how far and where the ball landed, it occurs to us all we should have brought more solar yard lights.  They scale the hole, first assuming it was a long shot right down the fairway, then we venture to just as far out but maybe along the edges and then we work our way back to the tee box. SHUCKS... one person found their ball on hole one. They all watched while it was hit a 2nd time.... to never be seen again. Moving on to hole two, one of the wonderful participants, was alittle off her rocker and each time a car passed in fear it may be a cop she hit the ground like 100 pounds of rocks. Therefore, like any good friends would do they began yelling car just to watch her hit the ground.  Hole two began with all new balls and a sadness they hadn't planned better in bringing glow in the dark balls at least. Everyone tries not to hit them as hard this time in hopes of finding more than one down the fairway, or in the tree, or the parking lot next door, or anywhere. Alas, there was no such luck, 5 hits later and about 45 minutes passing of hide and seek and they were defeated. They left in good spirits however, because they had each other and had learned a valuable lesson of golfing at midnight: glow in the dark balls and head lamps!

On the way home, the discussed what everyone had been doing for the last few weeks, months and years. One of the highly happy participants decided that it was unfair that dogs have no lights in the back yard when their sleeping and proceeded to put all of the remaining solar yard lights in the back yard of all the dogs they passed by. A good deed had been done. While dropping off the young man mentioned above they decided it wasn't fair none of them had gotten his parents an Easter gift and then proceeded to roll a large trash can into their home, down the hall and in front of their bedroom door. NOW they will wake up to an Easter Surprise they all thought. On the way home one of the nice ladies was asked if there was anything she wanted for Easter or her birthday, she piped up that she's always wanted a large donkey figure. You know the cement kind. One girl takes off jogging, all others were waiting for her to fall down in all honesty because the running, it just wasn't pretty, instead she stops about 4 blocks away in front of a lovely home.. with a giant 70 pound yellow donkey. All oww and awww!!! It's just what she's always wanted. After about 45 minutes of struggling the donkey makes it home with them. It followed them like a lost puppy in need of a home.

While home later, they sat on the porch wondering why cars are parked on the street. It made no sense. So they decided to try it out in the front yard right at the beginning of the steps. It surely has to sit there over night they thought because something always looks weird when it's new. The neighbor girl was gone for the weekend and the logically discussed who needed to buy her more solar lights. in the mist of this conversation they decided maybe they should do some mowing on her lawn... you know to be nice and all, come to find out after the large X was mowed in lawn they were tired and should retire to bed.

Anyways in honor of this blogs wonderful anniversary/birthday, I think Mrs. Easter is a wonderful gift and addition.

Happy Birthday/Anniversary to my Blog!!

Okay, so this week is a super fun week! First and foremost this week is the anniversary or birthday ... hmm not really sure how that works. If it's considered a birthday, because it was somewhat a birth or beginning of something or an anniversary because its when it and I came together.. hmm now I'm slightly confused!!! Are you??? Good! Now you're where I wanted you. BWAHHAHA (that's my evil laugh! Now you know!

Okay so that's the first fun things this week. Now the 2nd is this Friday, the 13th I will be 2 years away from being 30. I know I'm getting old, but I'm dealing with it! haha Okay so that's not so much big news, but it's news none the less.

So, I plan on doing some great things for you all this week. In the meantime you get.. yes more cards for people at work. They are nothing fancy as honestly I wasn't in "the mood" to craft. I know it's nothing amazing, that will be coming later this week. I promise.

CARDS GALORE

So, I mentioned in a previous post, getting my room cleaned. After that process was done last night I sat down and just popped out 15 or so cards in about 2 hours! I was very proud of the ubber simple yet nice looking cards for work. Their nice and fun and earthy for a landscape company!

Hide and Seek

So, I have been VERY MIA lately. I have tons of reasons for this absence however to shorten the length of this post I'll only share a few, non personal ones. First and foremost prior to Spring Break I had taken Desiree shopping to get her own crafting supplies, including but not limited to inks, paper pads, die cuts, stickers, embellishments and so forth. I figured if she could craft maybe her and her brother wouldn't kill one another over spring break. (It rained the entire week here!) So they were stuck inside with one another. Not a great combo. Anyways, bought her stuff and to my surprise it all worked. They didn't fight, I didn't receive a ton of calls at work. Success right? RIGHT!!!

Well sorta. I had been super busy and then the weekend before they attended school we went to Eric's mom's house to do some renovating. I get home Sunday and finally take a peak into the room expecting a mess, because well she's 6.5, but OMG!!!! It was far more than I had anticipated. There was a nice ASS chewing involved and some grounding and then a cool down period. Which in turn made me close the door after the long weekend and say, another day I shall tackle this, and in the meantime, no little people in there until it's been done. Well, a day turned into 2, and them some commitments got in the way and needless to say it sat for another week as is.

Last night I decided to dive into it and cancel all previous engagements and tackle it head on. I missed being in there, I missed creating, I was tired of avoiding it, hoping I'd walk in and everything would be pretty and in it's place. This is what it looked like. Literally a pig sty not even I wanted to organized and I am OCD about organizing things! Anywho, it all got cleaned up and taken care of! Lots of creation were made following the clean sweep. I'll share those later.

On a side not anyone waiting on prizes, this is why they have not been mailed out yet but will be this week and I'll be in touch via email when they are!

From the door looking in, now tell me would you just want to walk in and dive into creativity! If this wasn't enough continue looking to see what it became.

Here is Desiree's desk. Not too much of a mess because I had begun cleaning it before taking these pictures. A tool box somehow also ended up in there, not sure how but I'm sure Eric didn't want to take it outside to shed.

A mess of what used to be my desk with new stuff and old stuff just piles on it.

Now alot of this is mine. Some nifty old radio's I picked up, old coke crate and old nursery books and layouts that need to be put in albums.

Empty Mary Kay boxes, that i had yet to tear down. Them my daughter's MESS. She decided she not only would use her desk but also the desk my sewing machine and T.V. sit on, so that she could be closer to the T.V. See all of the trash everywhere!!! You however can't see the 3 bottles of mist she thought she needed to use covering pages of paper, all to just paint over it!
So much crap that i can't even open the door all the way. This is a bin of Halloween costumes I gathered up to sell, because I no longer run my preschool. A travel bag filled with Mary Kay inventory, wall hangings and light fixture's I've taken down for one reason or another that have yet to find a home.

Okay so not all of the mess is my daughters or form Spring break. I admit some stuff is mine that was just placed in here. For instance. WHY ON EARTH would I need a tampon in my scrappin space???? Who the heck knows, and yet as you see here. Here it sites with a hodge podge of other items that need to find a home. Needless to say i'm very happy everything has found it's homes now, because I was tired of playing hide and seek with my stuff!
