Motivation Monday

Hope everyone had a super wonderful holiday filled with inspiration and pictures to play with later. I traveled about 6 hours this holiday to enjoy it with some family. It was alot of fun. Not sure how but was very peaceful (yes even with the fireworks going off) to get away. I came home with 6 pages filled with ideas in my smash book of things I want to do and try.

I have some fun exciting news to announce for tomorrow! Soo, be sure to check back for This and That Tuesday!

So, lets discuss that motivates you. This weekend I sat in my boyfriends mothers yard. It was amazing! She had soo many great flowers, vintage findings (I very much wanted to snatch up some birdcages I saw.. hee hee), fountains, etc. I sat and had nothing to do. I loved it.

Normally I find it hard to brainstorm and be creative as much during the summer as we've discussed before. But, this weekend I had a boom of ideas spill out! I can't wait to get started on them and share some of them. Literally pages upon pages of stuff.. What motivates you?

Can't wait to share the news for the month tomorrow!

For a bit of motivation here's a pic from my boyfriends mothers backyard with the birdcage. And some other pics of the backyard as well.. motivated a ton of things in my head! Can't wait to get started.

Technique Thursday

Alrighty ladies today I'm offering a picture tutorial for you all.  Some very fun and nifty flowers I make. I used one last week on the layout I posted.

Here they are shown in different colors and such to show they can be used in a variety of ways.

Use a circle cutter as I did here, or just trace around different size glasses.

I used a 2 inch circle, 3 inch circle and a 4 inch circle.

Now crumple up each circle in your hand.. as much or as little as you like.

I used my watermark stamp pad here.. as it stays nice and wet to apply your embossing powders.

Now apply the pad to the circle. I just like to run mine along the edges and the wrinkles.

Then cover the circles with the embossing powder and tap it off.. if there's too much on there.. use a brush or your finger to clean some off.

Use your heat gun until embossing powder become glossy.

This is what you now have when they are dry. I love the look of this on textured cardstock. It's like a glossy leather almost.. soo great.

Add a rhinestone or button or flower to the center or even some ribbon with a bow and your done!

I hope you enjoyed and will try this. It's super fun.

Wandering Wednesday

Soo where shall we wander to today.

How about we wander into the wonderful world of storage! I'm going to share some spaces that I've come upon along the way. I'm always open to looking at other peoples spaces as I think you learn alot. Of course their spaces always are far cleaner than mine. But, I love seeing how others handle their storage solutions.

We're each very different. I think the type of storage you use for anything when crafting is just as personal as the papers you use. Some for instance like to see all of their supplies in front of them. Others like things to look clean and neat and not all in the open. So, I'm going to share some pictures here with you all. Many have different types of storage and different ways to set it up.

What type of storage person are you? In plain sight or neat a tidy? Or somewhere in between? Do you have anything storage wise you'd like to share that has done wonders for you?

Please feel free to send me pictures of your spaces! I want to see them! One of those who submit pictures of their spaces... will win some great goodies and I'll share them next week on the blog.
